DAS Software-Architect
The modelling and implementation of object-oriented systems primarily requires, in addition to suitable methods and tools, motivated and well-trained staff. Object-oriented programming languages are employed in numerous industries. In practice, the opportunities presented by the object-oriented philosophy have only partially been tapped. Great potential remains unexplored.
Object-oriented education of staff is often limited to the use of tools. This approach contradicts practical demands and in all likelihood results in failure. Success can be assured through systematic schooling and continuing education of modellers (analysts, designers) and software developers. Other IT professionals and personnel in this field must also be conversant with the object-oriented approach and be able to apply it in practice if the potential presented by object orientation is to be realised.
