Philosophy
Executives having decided on a career in management require not only expertise in their actual field of occupation but also relevant advanced professional development. The University of Applied Sciences Liechtenstein can look back on over twenty years’ experience of further education in management for engineers. The newly created MAS in Business Administration opens up further development in management also for other professional groups. The MAS in Business and Administration offers managers the opportunity to study efficiently in the region alongside work at a higher level of education. As a result, the University of Applied Sciences Liechtenstein hopes to cater also increasingly for women in managerial positions.
Educational goal
The MAS in Business Administration course of studies prepares the students in an interdisciplinary management programme to assume leadership functions. The students deal with the main issues facing senior management and tackle business problems in case studies by means of integrated concepts of corporate management. They learn how to assess the development of enterprises in an economic, legal, political, social and ecological environment and how to determine the consequences of their actions. As managers, graduates will have the skills to play an instrumental role in shaping and steering their enterprise.
Participants
The Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Business Administration addresses itself to:
- graduates of advanced technical colleges and universities having a minimum of three years professional experience
- graduates of courses of higher vocational education (Federal Vocational Examination, academia vocational) having a minimum of three years professional experience
- graduates of equivalent educational programmes having a minimum of three years management experience
Degree
Participants passing all the examinations and successfully completing the master thesis are awarded the title “Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Business Administration”. The Diploma Supplement is additionally awarded.

Application and Deadlines
The programme begins regularly at the end of September. Application deadline is 31 July (application form). Lectures are held on Friday afternoon from 1.30 to 7.30 and on Saturday from 8.00 to 2.00.
