Philosophy
Specialist skills and abilities are the basis for professional success. Additional competencies are needed in management roles. People have to be managed and the company as a whole has to be shaped and steered. The SME Management course enables practical people who have completed a vocational training course to continue their education. No particular managerial knowledge is required for the course. It provides the necessary social and business management competencies and enables graduates to put these into practice, thereby forming the basis for successful professional development.
Educational Goal
The key aim of the course is to stimulate entrepreneurial thinking and behavior. The development of a corporate strategy is the focus. Participants learn how to analyze their company and its market position and to reposition it accordingly. New business opportunities are there to be discovered. Innovative products and services are there to be developed and realized in the market.
The course is made up of modules. In addition to the basic modules corporate strategy and business plan, participants can select two out of an additional three modules (marketing, finances and HR).
A company’s business plan plays an important role in functional integration and practical transfer. Participants will develop a business plan during the course, test it in relation to its practicality and, in an ideal scenario, implement it immediately in their professional activities.
