MAS/MBA "International Management" Programme
Philosophy
Companies in the region operate in international markets in which competition has increased significantly. Executives which are qualified to meet these international challenges are, therefore, becoming a crucial asset.
Given this environment the University of Liechtenstein and the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule Vorarlberg) jointly developed a MAS / MBA programme in International Management which prepares and trains Executives to tackle these global challenges. The programme provides the latest academic knowledge and skills for international management. The study-trips to the University of Gloucestershire in England, to the St. Petersburg State University in Russia and to the Jiao Tong University in Shanghai encourage the participants to develop intercultural competence, open up new perspectives and provide the opportunity for network building.
Educational Goal
The International Management programme aims to communicate specific knowledge, experiences and behavioural patterns which can be applied to achieve management success in the global environment. Using cases from the practice in their surrounded business environment, participants develop international strategies and solutions to problems. As well as management competence, participants obtain a significant degree of cultural awareness. This enables them to take local, regional and global factors into account in the decision making process.
Participants
The MAS programme is open to university graduates with a technical and economic concentration having a minimum of 3 years practical experience in mid or upper management, graduates of technical colleges, trade academies or university business schools having a minimum of 3 years professional experience in mid or upper management, professionals having a minimum of 5 years professional experience in upper management functions as well as entrepreneurs.
