Executive MBA in Wealth Management
The Principality of Liechtenstein is one of the major international financial centres demonstrating excellence in the financial services sector. Wealth management encompasses a range of tailor-made services for wealthy private customers. It mainly covers the asset management and asset protection sub-processes, thereby providing an expanded range of products especially geared to a family or group of persons and optimised according to tax and corporate law considerations.
The part-time Executive MBA in Wealth Management consists of a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Private Banking and a master’s level. The methodological mix of lectures, case studies, business games and private study ensures a stimulating learning atmosphere. Topics and educational methods bridge the gap between familiar practice and scientific background. This degree programme is a worthwhile “investment”, establishing the cornerstone for expanded development of personal and professional strengths.

The degree programme is open to:

- Holders of Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) degrees in Private Banking or Treuhandwesen
Admission requirements include:
- Graduates of universities and universities of applied sciences, especially in economics or
- Graduates of other equivalent educational programmes
- A minimum of 3 years professional/management experience
Educational Goal
Through a balanced mixture of asset structuring, relationship management, law, tax, leadership and corporate management, participants acquire the requisite know-how to meet the challenging demands on consultants and managers in the financial services sector. Selected business administration and management topics are systematically geared to the needs of the financial services sector and serve as the basis of the academic programme.
The primary educational goal is to train participants in solving complex consulting and management issues both individually and as a team. This action-oriented approach is manifested in the choice of faculty as well as in the didactic concept, thereby ensuring consistent practical relevance.
Study Plan
The degree programme is modularly structured and lasts 2 semesters on the post-graduate level and 2 semesters on the master’s level. On the master’s level, solutions to problems are identified, drawing primarily from existing knowledge. Superordinate management functions such as strategy, leadership and innovation are of primary concern.
ECTS
Completed courses are credited according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). A total of 75 credits is awarded for the entire programme. The post-graduate level comprises 45 credits, the master’s level including the master’s thesis 30.
Language Competence
The degree programme is mainly conducted in German. Individual courses or lectures are held in English.
Degree - Title
Participants successfully completing the Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) in Private Banking and examinations are awarded the post-graduate diploma “Qualified Private Banking Expert - Post Graduate Programme” and the Diploma Supplement.
Participants successfully completing additional examinations on the master’s level as well as the master’s thesis are awarded the Executive MBA Degree and the Diploma Supplement. Upon successful conclusion of degree programme, the Hochschule Liechtenstein awards the title “Executive MBA in Wealth Management”.
Duration of Study – Schedule
The complete degree programme (graduate level/master’s level/master’s thesis) lasts 4 semesters. Lectures are held in the evening and in blocks of days: Post-graduate level: 2 evenings per week plus block lectures

Tuition
Tuition for the entire programme amounts to CHF 23'800.-. Included in tuition are examination fees but not course materials. Estimated cost of course materials is approx. CHF 500.- per semester. Any excursion and accommodation expenses are borne by the participants. A fee is charged for repeated examinations.
Study Location
Lectures are held at the Hochschule Liechtenstein and in suitable external facilities in the region.
Application and Dates
The degree programme is conducted based on a minimum of 15 applications. A maximum of 28 participants are admitted. Subject to availability, interested parties may also attend individual modules. The graduate programme begins in early October, the master’s level at the end of February. Exact schedules for individual modules are announced prior to the start of the degree programme.
