ECTS
With the implementation of the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) in 1996 at the Hochschule Liechtenstein, the introduction of the Diploma Supplement in 1999 and inclusion of Liechtenstein as a signatory of the Bologna Process in 2001, an important foundation was laid at the Hochschule Liechtenstein for further development leading to participation in the implementation of the European higher education concept.
In 1997 the Hochschule Liechtenstein introduced the European Union SOCRATES / ERASMUS system for transferring and accumulating credits (ECTS - European Credit Transfer System. The basis is the workload required of students to reach the academic programme goals, best reflected in the form of academic achievement and acquired expertise. It facilitates the quantifying and qualifying of academic achievement demonstrated at host universities or in cases where an assessment is required following a transfer to the Hochschule Liechtenstein. The host university or former home university must, however, also employ ECTS. The Hochschule Liechtenstein “
ECTS Course Catalogue
” provides complete information necessary for studying at the Hochschule Liechtenstein. It also supplies Hochschule Liechtenstein students with essential ECTS information for understanding the system and using it in connection with a semester abroad. Academic achievements demonstrated in a degree programme are attested in a
